The skills that matter wherever you work with us

Precision and care

Glass does not forgive mistakes. Measuring to the millimetre and sticking scrupulously to the dimensions is the basis of all glazing work.

Reading drawings

Understanding architectural drawings, technical data sheets and installation details is what lets you work on your own.

Team spirit

Vitralux jobs often need several technicians on site. Helping each other out and talking things through are essential.

Getting around Luxembourg

Our sites cover the whole Grand Duchy. A category B driving licence is required for installer and emergency roles.

Client contact

In direct contact with private and trade clients, our technicians are the face of Vitralux on the ground.

Safety awareness

Glass is an unforgiving material. Following the safety rules (PPE, handling, working at height) is not negotiable.

In partnership with the Chambre des Métiers in Luxembourg

Become a qualified glazier — Vitralux trains you and sees you through

Vitralux is an apprenticeship centre approved by the Chambre des Métiers of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. We offer the official glazier apprenticeship: you learn the trade in our workshop while following the theory at college. At the end you come away with a recognised qualification and, if your assessments are good, a permanent contract at Vitralux.

Step 01

A work-and-study apprenticeship

Hands-on training in our Howald workshop, combined with the theory taught at college (Chambre des Métiers).

Step 02

Registering

Step 03

Practical training at Vitralux

Cutting, polishing, fitting, working across the different services: every day in the workshop teaches you something concrete.

Step 04

One-to-one support

A Vitralux mentor stays with you throughout the apprenticeship. Regular assessments track your progress.

Step 05

Encouragement bonus

Vitralux pays a quarterly encouragement bonus: €2,000 for a SEHR GUT grade — €1,000 for a GUT grade. Good work deserves a good reward.

Step 06

A permanent contract at the end

If your assessments are good, Vitralux will offer you a permanent contract when your apprenticeship ends. We invest in our people.
