Repairing bonded and structural glass façades
Bonded (VEC) and Structural Glazing façades call for a particular skill: the pane is bonded in, with no visible bead, and refitting it affects the safety of the whole façade.
- Bonded glazing (VEC): replacing the pane and refitting it with a certified structural adhesive.
- Structural Glazing: replacing failed structural silicone joints and re-bonding.
- Butyl seal: replaced on a misted double-glazed unit in a façade.
- Certified silicones: Vitralux uses certified structural adhesives for every application.
