The colour we are asked for most
The bronze mirror is our most popular colour. Its warm, amber cast softens the ambient light and creates a warm, enveloping atmosphere. It sits naturally with joinery, leather, brass and every warm material. In a living room or a bedroom it adds luxury without showiness; in a restaurant or a hotel it helps create the sense of intimacy and quality that high-end venues are after.

Contemporary, with no compromises
The grey mirror gives a slightly cool, neutralised reflection, ideal for contemporary interiors and cleanly designed spaces. It is also much in demand in high-end retail spaces and showrooms.

Frequently asked questions about the made-to-measure tinted mirror
A tinted mirror is made from glass whose colour was worked into the body of the material as it was manufactured. The colour is part of the material itself: it is permanent and is not affected by time, by moisture or by cleaning. A mirror coloured with an adhesive film is a lesser product: the film can lift, blister and fade over the years. At Vitralux, every tinted mirror is made from body-tinted glass.
A tinted mirror reflects just as accurately as an ordinary one, but the reflection is coloured by the tint of the glass. In front of a bronze mirror the reflection is slightly amber; in front of a grey mirror it is slightly cooled. That effect is exactly what people are after, because of the atmosphere it creates. For strictly functional use, though (professional make-up, getting dressed), an untinted mirror stays more neutral.
For a contemporary bathroom built from cool materials (concrete, stone, grey ceramic), the grey mirror is the most coherent choice. For a warmer bathroom with timber and warm elements, bronze is the obvious answer. For a bathroom in a period style or with fine materials, antique brings a historic, elegant dimension. For the standard colours (bronze, grey, blue, green), the tint is produced industrially and is therefore very consistent from one order to the next. The antique finish, on the other hand, is defined precisely by its uneven shading: no two antique panels will ever be exactly alike, and that is the very essence of the material. If you are ordering several antique panels for the same space, we advise ordering them all at once to keep them as consistent as possible.
Yes. Some interior designers deliberately put two different colours together in one space to create a graphic effect or to pick out an architectural structure. A bronze panel framed by two grey panels, for instance, can set up an interesting visual rhythm. That approach calls for a clear picture of the whole: our advisers can help you visualise the result before you order.
