Made-to-Measure Glass Doors in Luxembourg — Pivot, Sliding, Crittall-Style
A pivot door in smoked glass, a Dorma Manet slider, a wall-to-glass hinge, a Crittall-style screen: Vitralux designs and fits every glass door to measure from our Luxembourg workshop, from the first conversation to the final adjustment.

When a doorway becomes an architectural statement
A glass door is more than a transparent panel that opens and closes. It is an architectural element: it sets the character of a space, plays with the light, reveals or conceals depending on the glass you choose, and says something about the style of the place. In an office, a sliding glass door speaks of openness and transparency. In a home, a pivot door in smoked glass is a piece of design in its own right.
Vitralux makes glass doors to measure in Luxembourg in six main configurations: the pivot door with a floor-mounted closer, the door on wall-to-glass hinges, the sliding door in its four variants (Dorma Muto, Dorma Manet, Astec and MWE), the Crittall-style door built on the Laruche Paris system, and internal glass dividers for open-plan spaces. We also replace the glass in doors that are already in place, inside and out.
Every door is made in our Luxembourg workshop after a precise survey on site. Vitralux coordinates the installation with the other trades and delivers a result that sits perfectly in the space.

Six glass options are available across every Vitralux glass door configuration.
Parsol tinted
Body-tinted toughened glass: bronze, grey, green, blue, black. Partial privacy while still letting the light through. The tint is permanent and does not change. Ideal for office doors and private entrance doors.
Satinato sandblasted
Translucent glass: it lets diffused light through without allowing a direct view. Ideal for meeting rooms, bathroom doors and anywhere you want visual privacy without darkening the room.
Decochrome mirrored / gold
Glass with a metallic coating: a mirrored or gold effect. A very high-end look for premium projects — the Arcon Decochrome range, with samples to see in our showroom.
Laminated glass with a decorative interlayer
A coloured or printed film set between two panes of glass: a solid colour, a gradient or a pattern. The safety of laminated glass with a look of your own.
Digital printing
A design printed straight onto the glass before toughening: a photograph, a texture, a geometric pattern or a logo. Permanent and hard-wearing.
Laser engraving
A design engraved into the surface of the glass: frosted areas on a clear background. Very precise, elegant and understated.

The ironmongery that makes all the difference
Handles, back plates, hinges and door closers come in three main finishes, chosen to sit with the style of the space.
Stainless / brushed steel
The most versatile and the most timeless finish. It sits with every contemporary and classic style. Corrosion-resistant and easy to look after.
Gold / brushed brass
Brushed gold or polished gold depending on the model. Very much of the moment in art deco, mid-century and contemporary luxury interiors. Coordinates with the gold taps and handles on the market.
Matt black PVD
A matt black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating: an extremely hard-wearing finish that resists fingerprints and scratches. Decidedly contemporary and minimalist.

Your questions about made-to-measure glass doors
A pivot door turns on an offset vertical axis (a pivot in the floor and the ceiling, or at the top only), which gives a generous, fluid movement. The axis can be central, so the door opens both ways, or offset. A wall-to-glass hinged door hangs on fixed hinges that connect the glass straight to the wall, with no side frame. The movement is conventional, turning on one edge, but the look is very clean because no vertical post is on show.
In the great majority of cases, yes. Vitralux makes every door to the exact size of the existing opening, or of the opening created for it. Some configurations (pivot, wall-to-glass hinge) need the surrounding structure to be stiff enough to take the loads from the door. Our technicians assess the feasibility during the survey visit.
The standard thickness for a glass door is 10 mm single toughened glass, or 8+8 mm toughened laminated glass. For large sizes (doors over 2 m high or 1 m wide), 12 mm or 10+10 mm laminated glass may be recommended for stiffness and safety. Vitralux states the right thickness with the quote.
Yes. The Dorma sliding systems (Muto, Manet) are available for private homes as well as for offices and shops. Dorma systems are known for how smoothly and quietly they run, and for how long they last. They come in several finishes and take any glass in the Vitralux range.
