The lacquering is done in the factory: an epoxy lacquer is applied to the back of the glass and then fired, so that it bonds permanently. The result is a strong, waterproof glass with no variation in shade and good resistance to thermal shock. The colour is seen through the glass, which gives it a glow and a depth that paint can never match.
Where can lacquered glass go?
| Application | Detail |
|---|---|
| Kitchen splashback | A lacquered surface in a single colour, resistant to heat and grease. Easy to clean, a premium finish. Every RAL colour. |
| Wall cladding | A large lacquered glass panel in place of tiles or paint. Bathroom, kitchen, office, commercial space. |
| Furniture cladding | Cabinet fronts, drawers and shelves in lacquered glass: dressing rooms, kitchens, bookcases, sideboards. |
| Cupboard back or alcove | Lacquered glass at the back of a cupboard, in a display niche or an alcove, for a premium finish that is easy to look after. |
| Glass whiteboard | White lacquered glass used as a wipe-clean board: a damp cloth removes everything, with no marker ghosting left behind. |

Yes. White lacquered glass makes an excellent wipe-clean board: marker pen comes off with nothing more than a damp cloth and leaves no trace, unlike conventional whiteboards, whose surface degrades over the years.
