Conventional signage — printed PVC, lacquered aluminium, wall vinyl — ages, yellows, peels and says nothing in particular. In a premium building it jars immediately with the quality of every other finish. Vitralétique glass signage is designed from the outset as a piece of architecture in its own right.
Every piece is made in the Vitralux workshop in Howald, using our own technologies: UV printing on glass, laser engraving, RAL lacquering and CNC cutting.

How we make it — everything in house in Howald
Every Vitralétique piece is made in our 1,500 m² workshop in Howald. Nothing is subcontracted: controlling the whole production chain is what keeps quality, lead times and consistency where they should be.
HD digital / UV printing
Printed straight onto the glass with permanent UV inks. Photographic resolution, Pantone colours, half-tones. Completely resistant to UV and to cleaning.
Lacquering on glass — every RAL colour
Glass back-lacquered in any RAL colour: opaque or translucent ground. Ideal for office door signs and directional panels on a coloured ground.
Laser engraving
Engraved at the surface or into the depth of the glass. Ideal for text, logos and numbers. Permanent and impossible to alter.
Toughened safety glass (ESG)
The basis of most of our work. Resistant to impact, heat and thermal shock. Safe if it breaks.
Laminated glass
For work with high safety requirements (evacuation plans, publicly accessible areas). Holds together if it breaks.
UV bonding
Glass-to-glass or glass-to-metal joints made with UV-cured adhesive. Invisible joint, high mechanical strength. For systems with no visible fixings.
Premium stainless steel standoffs (316)
Brushed or polished stainless steel standoff bolts: a visible finish that is both premium and functional. Fixed to a wall or a partition. Several sizes available.
CNC cutting
Precision cutting to the exact shapes of the project: rectangles, circles, special shapes, calibrated holes for the standoffs.

Made in the Howald workshop
CNC cutting, HD printing, engraving, lacquering, toughening — all in house. Every piece is quality-checked before it leaves.
Installation on site
Fitted by the Vitralux teams. Wall fixings, standoffs or UV bonding, depending on the design. Final clean included.
Aftercare & updates
Glass signs are built to last, but text changes. Vitralétique offers an update and single-piece replacement service.

Frequently asked questions about glass signage
Yes, it costs more up front than a basic PVC solution. But once you count the service life (20+ years against 5 to 10 for PVC) and the absence of yellowing, peeling and frequent replacement, the total cost over time is very competitive. And the image your building projects is worth having.
Yes. Our UV printer for glass reproduces Pantone colours, vector logos and typefaces with photographic accuracy. You send us your artwork (AI, PDF, EPS) and we sign off a sample together before any production run.
Yes. Toughened glass with UV printing stands up perfectly outdoors: UV, frost, heat, acid rain. Grade 316 stainless steel standoffs (marine grade) are recommended outdoors to rule out any corrosion. Vitralétique always specifies the right materials for the exposure.
Yes. Vitralétique offers a single-piece replacement service. We keep your artwork and your technical specifications so that we can reproduce any piece identically, whether it needs replacing or is a new sign added during an extension or a refit.
