The challenge

The starting point on site

Called out urgently by a property manager, Vitralux found on site that a glass balustrade was no longer sitting securely in its channel. The inspection showed a fixing that did not follow good practice and posed a serious safety risk. Access was closed off straight away, then the whole system was brought back into compliance.

What we did

The Vitralux solution

  • Diagnosis on site: the fixing does not follow good practice
  • Immediate closure of the window as a safety measure
  • Structural anchors fitted into the frame
  • Suitable profiles installed for a Juliet balcony
  • Replacement with an approved system, supplied with a certificate of compliance
  • The result: a safe, compliant and durable installation

Safety allows no compromise — Vitralux comes out, inspects, makes safe and certifies.
