Replacing a triangular fire-rated floor panel on a restaurant roof, in the heart of Luxembourg City.

The challenge

The starting point on site

The terrace of the Six Seven restaurant at Royal Hamilius sits on a black steel geodesic frame made up of triangular glass panels. One of them had to be replaced at short notice: a one-off piece with an irregular cut, reachable only at height, carrying a set of technical demands that rarely meet on a single pane.

What we did

The Vitralux solution

  • Certified 90-minute fire resistance (EI90)
  • Walk-on surface, made safe for the restaurant's guests
  • High-performance thermal insulation
  • Anti-slip screen printing fired into the glass
  • Installation with a butyl seal specified for fire-rated glazing
  • Work at height with harnesses and full PPE

Precision, safety and craftsmanship — the Vitralux signature.
